august, also month of the group ride

(peter took this nice picture)

You want to know how you can be a part of this goodness?

Here’s what they say about it:

Brisbane’s spring edition of the Tweed Ride is set to take place on the 26th day of August (a Sunday), with the plan to assemble at Musgrave Park, West End, at 2pm.

We will then sally forth at approximately 2:30pm on a leisurely afternoon cycle through this fair city of ours.

This unforgettably stylish saunter shall conclude at Orleigh Park whereby we encourage you to recuperate and rehydrate with some BYO food and beverages, and kick back to live tunes from some of Brisbane’s finest local bands –

The Good Ship
The Mouldy Lovers

We’d like to thank Gear, Jet Black Cat Music, Bicycle Revolution, Crumpler, Nook and West End Coffee House for awarding prizes for ‘Most Snappy Lass,’ ‘Most Dapper Chap’ and ‘Most Stylish Vintage Steed’

So dust off your velocipede, fetch grandpa’s cycling cape from the attic and pull up those argyle socks…

Tally Ho!

Speaking of GRATUITOUS PLUGGING.
If you are in Brisbane, could you please consider supporting 4ZZZ? Because it feels good and Dom (polo gorgeous wonderful Dom) and I do a show on it, and we would really feel both emotionally and practically supported. We also try to cover just about every tiddlywinks sized community bike thing because we both love a bike nerd out big time.
Only $33 if you are not live and local. And only $15 if you are an international online listener!
It’s not the only good cause in the world, but it is a nice one. Let me know if you feel like being a very special At the Local subscriber and I’ll give you a special request. I will go even as far as Katy Perry*.
*for you only Marnie Q
