some nice action. you like action? I like action.

My lovely partner in crime and I got a super nice write up from Graham Nunn about the Riverbend Books launch of the Queensland Poetry Festival.

Please come and visit on the 22 of June. Here are the details. We are described as a dynamic duo, which means my desire to perform the whole thing with my undies outside my stockings has been officially okay’ed. Look out while I rock out with my socks out. And Betsy looks embarrassed.

If you live in Melbourne, however, you should come to this on the 17 of June. The online and real life launch of the Going Down Swinging #31 – TRULY THE MOST AMAZING PUBLICATION in poetry at the moment. Oh, well, for me. I always think that these are amazingly produced, well thought through and balanced and accessible. Some hard, some soft, some wonderful. A big Sizzler Buffet of delight.

Then come to Danceteria.

I’m only in Melbourne for a few days and – seriously – I feel like my heart is breaking apart into a million pieces and that lacquered box where I keep everything is full of broken limbs and broken hearts and they are all going to come out and I am going to spend three days weeping and laughing and drinking too much (coffee; red wine; you) and thinking too little and never quite coming down from what it means to be home.

Look out.

Here are the details.

In the mean time, however, is a photo. Which is a graphical rendition of a poem that I did which was a part of the Melbourne Poetry Map – which I hear a rumour is coming back for this year’s OVERLOAD FESTIVAL!

God, this took me a long time to post. I’m so sad I missed it in real life. Real life, not online life.
