It’s only a few more days to QPF now; I can’t run through all the things I’d like to see, for there are too many to mention.

I would only like to one more time encourage you to find poetry in motion, motion in poetry, and the sun and moon in alignment. The festival is an absolutely beautiful exposition of language, creativity, reflection, expression, community and collegiality. In a world gone mad, it’s nice to find a pocket of crazy and snuggle right on in.

I think.

If I could take one moment to encourage you to a particular event, it would be this one, perhaps because it’s the thing that’s shaking and making my nerves the most right now, but perhaps also because it would be a helluva a Saturday night.

The Star Folder

August 24, 2013 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Theatre Space, Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts
420 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006

Intro: Tom Hogan (with some assistance from me)
Side A: Lawrence English featuring Scott Morrison
Side B: Feet Teeth
The Star Folder unites the blissed out electronics of Brisbane duo Feet Teeth, the exquisite atmospheres of composer Lawrence English, and the sensory explorations of Tom Hogan as they turn their ear to the works of Eleanor Jackson, Thomas Day, Darkwing Dubs, Matt Hetherington, Justin Clemens, Jennifer Compton, Anna Fern and Ian McBryde to unlock the sound spaces and sonic tones swirling inside in their poems.
MC: Graham Nunn
