wind whipping hair into mouth
radio teenage loud and fuck the speed
limit – locals know this stretch and say
90’s fine, love
skin is dull and soaked in painkillers
the flesh melting off face in pain
teeth aching in head like I’ve been
sucking cock with gravel
embedded in my knees
car park lights light the sad
weak flesh
the spring of dull grey fur
illuminates the fear of futile life
swing re-correction swing
heat flush needle skin
swerve and back and gone
momentary you are there and gone
wish I was the beast on the road
it can drive the car with its small velvet paws
humans are fucking up the world already
I have two silver dollars for eyes
ready to glint in the headlights
happy to glint and be gone
