Where have I been?

Sorry to have been so absent of late.

There is so much that I have to thank people for, so many lovely things that have happened, things I have delighted in but not been able to celebrate and to recognise.

This is the strangeness of busy.

This is a recording of an outside broadcast for the incredible 4ZZZ Megaherzz, organised by the most indefatigable Samantha Kelly who, all the way back in 2014, invited me to be a part of a showcase of performers, writers, speakers, and rrrrrioters in a live recording at the Motor Room in West End, Brisbane.

This is one of the strange things about time passing, and the way that poems remind me of times, often better than photographs. The market, a temporary ‘activation’ of space, a liminal/nominal place of commerce and impending gentrification – is no longer there. The radio station, 4ZZZ, where I spent so many Saturdays, remains, but I am not longer a fixture there. I no longer love this lover, in fact, this lover is no longer the person that I once thought them to be, but I know exactly what it was that I was feeling at the time of writing.
