comorbity

the Prime Minister and the petty thief
both feed the media machine
blogs and tweets and tweets and blogs
the new beat boxing – we beat
our chests and sometimes each other
avoiding any kind of “mirror! look!”
so much reassurance in the wrongs of not I
perfection always multiplied
by the catastrophic weaknesses of others
our glee, our venomous relief,
spreading like a mould or a disease.
