I only went to bed a blink ago

When I was seventeen.

I do not mind the riding to work.

I find that even if you start your day with dread thinking, “ten more minutes” you can still start the day with a short ride, over a beautiful bridge, the river dark and muddy from the rain of the evening before.

In the square will be the clatter of voices, the filling of tummies, the inevitable bike perving and the odd smile from a sometime ride companion.

I think Jan has total silver fox presence. Just saying.

Anyone else ride to work? And is there a justifiable ratio of kilometers ridden to sausages consumed? I think 1:1. Or at least that’s what I went for.

  1. The lousy weather, (coupled with the fact that I’d given my bike a cleanin’ & greasin’ over the weekend and I didn’t want to get it all gritty again), kept me out of the saddle and on the train instead. Seeing plenty of cycling commuters on my way home made me regret decision.

    1. I am with you Dave, I have to admit I am a fair weather cyclist too. And yet, when I get out there in the rain I feel like a little kid again, late home after playing too long with friends and riding back getting a wet bum!

Hope you get out on the road again soon!
