Betsy and Eleanor have been involved in the Words or Whatever poetry nights as guest hosts, curators, performers and MCs. Hosted bi-monthly by fellow Broken Records Collective member, Doubting Thomas and held at Blackstar Coffee in the heart of West End, these women’s feature performances have featured some of Brisbane’s most exciting female poetic voices. The most recent of these nights featured the incredible words of poets like Marilyn Roberts, Tiggy Johnson and Trudie Murrell, together with the emerging voices of Rhyll Tonge, Angela Willock, Sally Morris and Liz Bennett. This showcase featured audio remixes; a beautiful collaborative poster zine; and an incredible support set from local male writers.
