The truth

is that you never loved me
and that you never will
but don’t pretend that’s
the worst that it could be

I’m at the subway and you have stopped me in my tracks. I’ve left the euphoria of yesterday, the odd confusion of last night, the fatigue of this morning and embraced the memory of now.
