Eleanor Jackson is a Filipino Australian poet,
performer, arts producer, cyclist, writer, gal
about town, feminist, freewheeler, and
friend. One day, she is going to be an
ideas curator. Which basically
means, she will tell you
exactly what she thinks.
Until then, you’ll have
to read between
the lines.
Rubber ducky
Brisbane – I take it all back.
Well, possibly not all of it, but a not inconsiderable part of it.
Because this morning I ran into Rachel.
Relative to the hooning supercommuters, Rachel was making fresh elegant time on her sweet latte coloured step through. Lovely simple skate lid in a colour that suits her, fresh summer dress, sandals and a friendly attitude.
God knows, I know which cycling tribe I’d rather belong to.
Rachel has only recently taken up riding but she’s looking the goods – look out for the slow Sundays and the tweed runs.
And don’t be afraid to take up space neither – aggressive roadies make everyone annoyed – and you were making great time as far as I could tell!
Rachel, here’s my highest (and probably most ridiculous) compliment – I’d take your photo in Melbourne.
