Eleanor Jackson is a Filipino Australian poet,
performer, arts producer, cyclist, writer, gal
about town, feminist, freewheeler, and
friend. One day, she is going to be an
ideas curator. Which basically
means, she will tell you
exactly what she thinks.
Until then, you’ll have
to read between
the lines.

The Queensland Poetry Festival starts this weekend… Betsy and I are performing the entire set of the Mills & Boon Swoon show for the first time!
Like training for a sporting event, I feel anxious and nervous but excited and purposeful. Poetry has minimal – if any – financial reward, so it’s often interesting to think about just how much energy you can devote to something with so little tangible reward.
Luckily the intangible rewards are astonishing and exciting.
A few poets have shared drafts of the next set of the Melbourne Poetry Map and so far – I’m as impressed as I have ever been with the diversity and richness of their stories.
It’s been almost a year since I moved to Queensland … Lots of waters under the bridges.
Let’s see what they bring.

How exciting! I wish you well.
Thanks Jonas! It was a lot of fun in the end… despite being quite exhausting… As always I hope you are well. I am sad to report I closed Hell and Awe… Just time I guess.
