farewell clouds; hello sunshine

(affecting a jolly tone)

So, now that I am officially a resident of the glamourous West End in Sunny QLD. I figure it’s about time I left the musty confines of my house to see the wider world. I was dazzled and delighted by the finals of the Queensland Slam – just a really vibrant, energetic mix of performers, in a beautiful space with so much warmth and atmosphere. Because I am so very terrible with names, I cannot remember the eventual winners… Dang that. Darkwing Dubs I believes.

One name I do remember is, however, the absolutely vixen hot Tessa Leon who was the amazing MC of said event.  And this Saturday evening, I’ll be sharing some space with her and five (I believe!) other fabulous women at the Blackstar Cafe in West End. Things should start to look warm and welcoming around 6.30pm and I believe it’s a takes all comers for the Words or Whatever feature on women poets with an open mic for them what pop their name in the ring.

So do come along:

6.30pm for a 7.00pm start

  1. It was wonderful to hear you perform, I do hope to see you around the scene more.

And you must apply for Queensland Poetry Festival next year, applications open soon! (Unless of course you have a reason not to apply. I hope that is nit the case.)

    1. I had such a great time… I was very nervous, but it was such a great night. And so nice to meet you! I really enjoyed your medical mayhem…
