To type with a migraine is a painful thing. So I contribute my little tapping availability to this one shot. From the lovely Strange Journey which captures so beautifully the wonderfulness that was yesterday’s Dirty Deeds CX. Wonderful because not only did I complete the race and I did not come dead last (my impeccably low set goals) but also because I managed not to fall over once and to keep my white jersey rather clean. (Why I was wearing white anyone was a good question).
Another rider who did not manage to keep quite so clean was the Lovely Jess, who gave it her all, and stacked every time she braved the Stinky Mud Pit of 2010.
I’ve much more to say about the Deeds. But in the main, I have to say, the whole experience made me feel rather wistful and sad to be leaving Melbourne, there’s a fine and lovely crew that we’ve been riding with this last year and a half and I’m going to miss them.

Above is one of my favourite shots of the series… mud, crashes and smiles… up there with the Open podium with all the guys grinning and laughing (and probably the now infamous greg brunt shot).
It’s been amazing sharing my love for ‘cross with friends new and old.
Such much awesome happened on Sunday, I’m glad you came out to be a part of it.
