Among my other silly hobbies is a rather large collection of Mao Memorabilia – apologies to all, I generally don’t wear this t-shirt out in public, but I just had to let you all know that not so very far from Melbourne is a lovely large mountain, with lots of wriggledly single track, an abundance of downhill (not that I took it, because I have half a brain, and I hope to keep it, and know I’d have killed myself) and if you get two seconds to drink in the high, clean air, you’ll be staring out over the snow gums, the tiny alpine flowers and seeing life in a whole new perspective. And you get to be on your bike.
Coincidentally, there’s a women’s mountain biking clinic, this weekend at Mt Buller with World Champ Caroline Buchanan, who – though I’d feel most un-me to post the photo here, does not look that bad “near” a helmet either.

Oh Mao memorabilia… I have a Mao wind-up pocket watch floating around in my mess. If I find it, it’s yours!! Very classy.
P.S. Nice new home.
Man, I have so much Mao crap these days… One of our Mao watches got stolen, you should have seen the insurance ladies look of distain as we were trying to explain what it was and why we liked it so much. She recommended we upgrade it to something “classic”. By which I presume she meant, “not communist”.
And damns, I loves my cap. Bit big on my head, but I’m growing my brain in readiness!
