Eleanor Jackson is a Filipino Australian poet,
performer, arts producer, cyclist, writer, gal
about town, feminist, freewheeler, and
friend. One day, she is going to be an
ideas curator. Which basically
means, she will tell you
exactly what she thinks.
Until then, you’ll have
to read between
the lines.
remember your first day of school?
How your folks let you (made you) have a photo taken on your front porch? And you looked really proud and ready and sweetly dorky? To relieve said moment of nostalgia, all you need do is purchase a new folding bike. Apparently they’re not much chop on the hills, but dammit if they dont just pop in the back of your boot, saving you all the trouble of having to push the thing for miles when the back tire goes flat. Efficient is excellent. I am old enough to recognise that it goes a damn sight further than pretty, any day.
