Eleanor Jackson is a Filipino Australian poet,
performer, arts producer, cyclist, writer, gal
about town, feminist, freewheeler, and
friend. One day, she is going to be an
ideas curator. Which basically
means, she will tell you
exactly what she thinks.
Until then, you’ll have
to read between
the lines.
how do you feel
When you get tweedy?
My friend, you will feel really speedy
My friend, you will feel really speedy
Your legs will spin, your eyes will twinkle
Your wheels will roll, your bell will tinkle.
The lights will always be so green
Because you are a tweed machine.
No door will “ope” into your path
As you pass by in tweeded scarf.
Your figure will be so refined
That all will find you just divine –
So – see you at the Li-ber-rary
Don’t be afraid! We are not scary!
We only have one want, one need,
We have the need, the need for tweed.
