Decisional Balance

Ladies – start your engines.

I know that sometimes it can be hard to be a bitch on a bike. After all, you’re a nice girl, you were not raised by wolves, and you don’t want to make a mess of yourself in the public.

Me neither.

But I think that your time to shine is upon you. Let it go ladies. Let it go.

For SUNDAY IS THE HEAT UP OF THE DIRTY DEEDS CYCLOCROSS IN MELBOURNE.

And if there is one place where the riding is good and the weather is breezy it is Melbourne and it this SUNDAY and there are some serious souls supporting the whole charming process of cyclocross in Melbourne.

Please read on here on the DDCX site – who have posted up a great whole bunch of welcome wagon for all those women who are on the fence.

I am a big one for supporting women in cycling. I do not do this in any super exciting way, but I really feel like when there are guys who take the time to a. notice that there are less women riding, b. to sensitively consider what would make women more feel more at ease participating and c. then take steps to do some of those things to help flatten out the speed humps on the road to love – then it’s a great pity when more women don’t get out there.

Anyone want to be personally pumped up by me as to why cyclocross is amazing fun? Because it is – it is totally amazing fun.

And as Nik, Brendon and Blakey at DDCX are sharing and letting you know there are a heap of people happily getting on board. Like the great folk at Commuter Cycles.

I have been desperately hoping to post up a master stroke post that would encourage you and your lady friends to get up and get into it.

But it’s been a crazy week and I’m at the airport now feeling like a total zombie and I broke my other phone and my mum will be super annoyed if I don’t see her and instead go and get muddy and tired and giggly and happy and thrilled to be there.

But please go for me!
