So. When I was in my early twenties, I would never have had the chutzpah to slip my number to some woman on the other side of the fast food counter.
God knows my life might have been a lot more exciting had I done so.
That said, there’s no sense in not making up for lost time.
If you’ve got the time and I’ve got the motion (i.e. that plume cloud thing doesn’t impact on logistics), then I will be here this coming Friday.
Wanna be my date?
GDS Digital about to launch
Going Down Swinging Digital (#31) is imminent. Friday June 17, from 8.00 pm.
After 31 years of publishing, GDS celebrates the launch of its first-ever interactive digital anthology, and the first release from new editors Jessica Friedmann and Geoff Lemon. On Friday June 17, let the warm welcome of the Builders Arms hug winter away, with a cosy IRL night of storytelling, music, and spoken word. Warming drinks and food available at the venue.
Melbourne spellbinder Eleanor Jackson will debut a very special GDS performance commission. Sean M. Whelan and the Interim Lovers will team up for one night only with Chloe Jackson Wilmott, on a trip down a violin-steelstring-storytelling river, after readings from Ruby Murray, Eric Yoshiaki Dando, and Geoff Lemon.
And free delicious baked goods to take home. Because we’re good like that.
Entry free, donations welcome, download codes available for a mere five bucks.
Come along and celebrate with us.
