there’s a fire, starting in my heart

Right about now, I kind of think that I would have paid Emma $330 myself in order to have this experience. It’s a long story. You know how I hate these. Somehow, along the line I have forgotten how this relates to either bikes or football but somehow I am here and here is good.

But hey, today I am going to be as short as I can. Because I have Sonia here with me. And instead of missing out on her actually being here, I need to go soak her the hells up.

But let’s recap.

I am seeing the city this weekend through the eyes of a new visitor. Showing her the things I’ve come to love, I’m thrilled that she is loving on them too. We have Brisvagued out and loved it. As with all my best friends, we have napped, marketed, taken photos, drunk wine, and disco’d hard. It’s the way she does it that makes it inimitable. She’s precious as a butterfly.

Let the pictures stand for themselves, we’ve been doing little things and loving them.

Most honourably, Sonia has agreed to support me in my support of Emma because she supports me in pretty much everything I have ever done in the past ten or so years. This is a huge debt and honour. I try to support her in her things too and she does some pretty rad things. She almost let me by $280 worth of electric pink plastic shoes. I believe I could consider them a safety item.

I owe her another bike helmet. Because she is serious about sport. Maybe I’ll get one like Dom’s, who was down at the Powerehouse forecourt having a hit of the ball of polo in the sunshine on a Sunday. He’s a good one that Dom. That much is true. He has the goodness shine on him I think. Next Sunday, I’m good to ride with Jenna and Kiki, who also shine a good deal too.

Never one to be limited by the brief, Sonia wanted to nominate three people as sources of inspiration for her hard earned cash.

So let us share the goodness… Of whatever hot pink related joy has somehow spilled out of this football dreaming.

Sonia is inspired by her father, Alex, her new instagram friend and a man of kindness and consideration and honour and father-daughter goodness. He is an organ that makes beautiful music that opens your soul.

She is inspired by Amelia. A woman who rocks freckles almost as perfectly as Sally Cat. She is fierce and bold and now, in the way that sometimes people just come into their own, Amelia is coming into her own. Owning herself and knowing which way the wind blows. She gave some good care to Sonia recently, and that sort of thing means a lot.

Then, her third person, well… those are reasons secret and precious and lovely to me and damn, sometimes I’m bad at this shit, but sometimes someone knows you and they love you and yeah, right. So yeah, she said me. Aw shucks.

Right back at you Song Bird.
