if there’s one thing I like

It’s the song, “Justified and Ancient“. Just for the section where Tammy Wynette sings “turn up the strobe”.

Oh, and horizontal stripes.

Oh, and Catlike helmets.

I like ’em a lot.

In fact, they just about qualify for my retro eighties Reebok fantasy helmet, where I have one red Reebok freestyle and one yellow and I ride an electric blue 3Rensho and I feel like Punky Brewster.

When I say fantasy helmet I do mean “fantasy” – surprised as you may be, I don’t actually have multiple helmets (and even sold my dear cream Six Six One mullet at a recent Camberwell Market extravaganza, having basically decided that, although I love neutrals, the thing wears like a freaking oven).  So I’m forced to have several dream helmets for rides imaginary. This is, I presume the equivalent of dudes who are total classic car heads but earn, well, as much as I earn, and so spend their evenings imagining what life would be like if they only had a….

Anyways, lucky for me, I got a chance to road test one of my almost perfect imaginary helmets.

But more about that later.
