Eleanor Jackson is a Filipino Australian poet,
performer, arts producer, cyclist, writer, gal
about town, feminist, freewheeler, and
friend. One day, she is going to be an
ideas curator. Which basically
means, she will tell you
exactly what she thinks.
Until then, you’ll have
to read between
the lines.
the gifts I’d give
Christmas is but round the corner, and you have much to celebrate. Arguably, there will be no time or tide for giving or receiving. Sweet as that Chanel shirt was for Sonia, this is your axe. For I have no axe to grind.
In the end, you give and give and it is not to be received, not the way you intended it to be.
I am sleepy in the sunshine of the day, unbothered by the coming moments, happy with the past, gentle in the morning light and trying only to be light with them so that they can be light with me.
